IM Mert Erdoğdu, participates in the closed GM tournament named Valoz Cup in Czech Republic at Pardubice from July 30 to August 7. IM Erdoğdu won his first round game against IM David Kanovsky'i (2409) while he drew his game against FM Nils Grandelius(2366) from Sweden. In the third round he face the strongest grandmaster of Iceland, GM Hannes Stefansson(2566) and lost. ile karşılaşıyor. Last year in the same tournament IM Kıvanç Haznedaroğlu scored his second GM norms while the talented youngster IM Emre Can.
