Final Round:Adana Truva Completes the Streak
Adana Truva won its last round game and won the league after collecting all of the possible 30 points. Manisa Doruk College and Turkish Airlines shared the second place with 26 points while Doruk College had the better tie-break with more board points with 101.5 compared to 98.5 of Turkish Airlines who won the third place as last seson.
Antalya Deniz Genclik, Mersin Ezgi Chess Club, TED Ankara College and Selçuk University relegated to the second division, Turkish Clubs Championship which is also starting in a couple of days.

Adana Truva crushed TED Ankara College, who played their last game in the first league and relegated for the first time since its foundation, with a 6.5-3.5 win. The first team ever to won all of its games and also the pre-event favourites collected 108 board points. Adana Truva is a chess club founded by an amateur chess player, chess fan and a chess trainer Menderes Çoban in Adana, the fourth largest city in Turkey located towards the eastern end of Mediterranean coasts o Turkey.
TED Ankara College, the most successful team of the league with three titles, and four times represented Turkey in European Club Cup was not ablo to hold and relegated from the league. You see IM Kıvanç Haznedaroğlu(right) from Truva playing against FM Emre Karadeniz of Turkey. IM Haznedaroğlu is among the many strong players that used to play in TED College in the past.
Manisa Doruk College defeated Pamukkale University 7-3 and took the second place with better tiebreaks. The upset of the round was the captain of Pamukkale won against Işık from Manisa who is rated about 530 ratings more and Selen also gained a draw against FM Seçer.
Turkish Airlines had to win with two more extra points than Manisa Doruk College but scoring 9 against Denizli Erbakir is not an easy task and they only managed to win with a close 6-4 score. Erbakir finished the league on the eight place after the tie-breaks.
Denizli Servergazi proved to have one of the strongest squads of the league. They started with surprising wins against strong teams such as THY, İsek Aquamatch ve Beşiktaş. . Daha sonra ise ilk üçü mücadele ederken sürpriz yenilgiler de alınca dördüncülükle yetindiler. Son turda küme düşen Mersin Ezgi Satranç Kulübü'nü 6,5-3,5 yenerek ligi 20 maç puanı ve 90 masa puanı ile tamamladılar.
Beşiktaş ended the season by winning against Antalya Çallıspor with by 6.5-3.5 and neded the league at 20 points. Beşiktaş's wortst result in the league, after winning two consecutive titles. Antalya Çallıspor, finished at eleven points at the eleventh spot.
The winner of the second division in 2007, İSEK Aqumatch ended the season with a comfortable 8.5-1.65 win over Selçuk University.
